The only album by a band from Memphis, Tennessee, formed in 1969 and named themselves after a bay on the North Sea coast in the northwestern part of the Netherlands. The band's producer was the fairly famous musician Leland Russell, former bass guitarist of << Gordian Knot>>. The band's leader, Richard Orange, is the author of all the songs on the record.

The first listening to them 1985, I was a beginner heavy metal fan, now I m 54, and it is so great listening to them again and again, hail from brazil

Such a shame these guys did not take off like a rocket. So many mediocre bands made it huge and a group like this--excellent musicianship, excellent composition, excellent lyrics, natural vocals, a whole greater than the sum off its parts--get nary a blip on the radar. I could find no info on them other than what's on this stream. Did any of them go on to great music careers? The only thing I could find was that, prior to Universe, Mike Lloyd Jones was in a band called Shakin' Stevens and the Sunsets. Also they played at the "Top Ten" club in Hamburg (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Top_Ten_Club).

In my younger days I had a cassette tape with Shabby tiger.. I played it often and in some places the tape was really worn out because of the frequent use.. I loved the music and still do.. Somewhere along the way in life the tape got lost, and I was devastated... Beautifully arranged and performed, and the first track impressed me quite a bit. Then though, it all soon become too commercial for my taste, up to the point of sounding almost Bon Jov-ey in spots. Thank you all the same, for this upload.

Hearing Schenker beside Bolin then the flute (Jeremy or Wiseberg) and that ARP is so Color odo (Bolin /Walsh) and vocals are just a bit of an afterthought to the whole album as they are a little sped up by the sound quality and feel to them as a result of a deeper and more subtle and more complex sound that they have to disg in the mix as a result in the music being released by other companies. It’s apparent that some artists such as Myself he Sweeet have a very strong connection to their own sound and the music is very much in tune to the songs that they have been producing for years
